First, I hate reviews based on, "I was there and I had a great time!" I want a review of the recording of the show.
Having said that, I'll state that I was, in fact, there. But at the time, I felt like it was an OK show with an unusual setlist. Listening to this recording years later, I see that I vastly underrated this show based on my subjective experience at the time. This show is a smoker and one of the best of the year.

Sweet 85 sound
This is a great show! It is also one of the best sounding auds that I've heard. You can tell that the boys are ready to jam from the monster opener of Music Never Stopped, and then they go right on to my favorite version of Candyman. Sweetness. The rest of the first set isn't too exciting, but things pick up in the second set with a haunting He's Gone and a sweet groovin Jerry and the Drummers jam. Day Tripper is rough, but very fun. fyi all you that haveDL"ed
when the break arrived these jar-headed no neck security team came kickin blankets lookin for our rigs.yup,busted.they said "get your shit in the back or get the f out! i grab the mic stand and my backpack w/ adam, johnny and davey still all hooked up walkin through the crowd like a train. we set up on the right side of the board.so the 2nd set is not fob.i remember dan healy giving me this death stare and i just gave it right back.this taper lucian finally comes up front and tapes w/ us.slowly throughout the 1st set he kept raising his mics drawing attention to all of us.he was the 1st one to run to the back.w/ all this drama,we all had the wicked spring 85 flu.the flu hit jerry hard 2nd night in providence.just listen to him the 1st two nights @ the spectrum.that tour packet was the best thing to purchase for 250 bucks for 14 shows.enjoy!!!!!!!!

This is a really hot FOB - I must say the best audience source out there. Phil is very prominent and they definitely captured the live feel without too much audience. Lots to love about this show - opener is pretty good, some decent first set tunes, the He's Gone>Miracle, the Jerry/drummers audience clapping jam, the reverse Playin and of course....DAY TRIPPER. The Cumberland County Civic levitated during this tune. And then we came out to 3 inches of snow...
